Good Children’s Catechism

Luther's Small Catechism, with Explanation
I have worked through this once with Joshua and he really liked it. Some of it was over his head or I had to change the wording to somethings so that it would make sense to him. But Luther did write this for children so I figured it was not crazy to try it. I also had to improvise when he covers the sacraments as our home is not in line with Luther’s take on Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. But 90% of it is great. Luther does well when he covers putting our hope in Jesus, the Ten Commandments and The Creed and the Lord’s Prayer. If anyone knows any other good Catechisms for kids let me know. We have also used the Westminster Shorter Catechism but I found Luther’s better and more complete for children. Joshua likes it. He says trying to remember the answers to give is fun. We will work through it again sometime in the future.

Thanks Jared. I will check those out! Also Molly Luther's Small is linked to Amazon on my post. You would probably have to order it or have a book store order it for you somehow. Catechisms involve questions and answers so you might feel like you are talking to yourself if you read it out loud. But I am sure that is no change from your daily routine.
