Healthy Breakfast

When I was diagnosed as prediabetic my doctor recommended I start using Barlean's Flax oil and Omega Swirl to help control my blood sugar levels. The flax oil actually coats the intestines and slows the absorption of carbs. The Peach Mango Omega Swirl tastes great. The flax oil few tastes like...oil. But when you mix them together it is edible. The health benefits out way the few seconds of "eww" :)
My favorite low sugar/ low carb breakfast is a homemade sausage and egg mcmuffin. It contains one gram of sugar and 1 serving of carbs. It is important to read the english muffin package. Some contain more carbs than others. I use the Aunt Millie Whole Grain english muffins.

Have you heard anything about cinnamon lowering blood sugar levels? I've come across it several times as I've looked into eating tips for Josiah.

Yep, I have read that in many places. Unfortuantely most recipes with cinnamon also have a lot of sugar.

I've heard you can just sprinkle some on your food--no sugar added.

You've done such a great job taking care of yourself!

True, but really cinnamon is meant to be in cinnamon rolls :)
