That is life in the Nelson household :) Joshua had a fever this weekend so we spent time at home. Aaron and I both love to hang out at home. So it was an awesome weekend :)
The kids are doing great. Joshua and Asher are enjoying school and Elliana is growing like a weed.
I hope to have some current pictures up soon, but right now I have three beauties to take care of :)
Hope you all have a great week and thanks for all your emails!

The boys were excited to see this.
This is something the geeky Nelson boys will be waiting for with little patience. Joshua was studying closely to see as much as possible. Asher was jumping up and down saying "again".

:)
Not much going on this week. The kids are enjoying school. The boys start swimming lessons tonight (they were in them last semester as well). Elliana is crawling forward. Although when she does she looks surprised (like, what did I do??).
We hope you are all having a great week!

A Day in Ancient Greece
Joshua has been studying ancient Greece. So today we made chiton's (KYE-tuhn). It is the type of clothing a boy would wear in ancient Greece. My little Greek boys are so cute :)
Joshua also started learning multiplication today! Asher loves school :) We have been working on reading (I love teaching him!).
Elliana can pull herself up to standing and is trying really hard to crawl forward. She can go a couple steps :)

Our blessings are overflowing...
I grew up in a big family. I have several siblings and my mother has seven. So in my formative years I learned how important it is to have “family”. Anyone can have relatives that they see occasionally. And this is important. But having relatives that are family is something different. They penetrate your heart. You care for them regardless of where you are or where they are. You want to know the trivial thing that is crossing their mind as well as the burden they carry in their heart. I have been blessed to have a big family. People that have truly penetrated me heart. Unfortunately two of them are going home tomorrow. Jared and Michelle, we hope you have a safe trip and that you come back soon :)
This week in school Joshua will continue with his studies on ancient Greece. He will also be learning about the universe in science. Asher will be reading some great books and practicing his writing and his Spanish.
Elliana is growing so fast. She crawls backwards and loves to stand up. We just adore our little beauty.

A little ramble...
It was a wonderful Christmas! We were able to spend time with my family last weekend. It was wonderful to see my mom, sister and Uncle Chris. We had so much fun eating Happy Joe's Pizza and talking. The time just flew by. Asher was dressed in Star Trek uniform the entire time :)

We started back with school on Monday. It is always tough getting back into things but the boys are doing great. Joshua loves Greek mythology and Asher loves whatever we are doing (he told me, I like school). Joshua also enjoyed reading about Pompeii (the volcano that exploded).
Last night Joshua was talking about when he grows up. He informed me that he is going to homeschool his kids. He then asked me if I could come over on holidays and help him homeschool :) That's my boy:) He also wants me to teach cooking classes to his kids. I just love that boy! He told Aaron that he is going to have books about Geography and Christian stuff. Aaron is a proud father :)
We got hit by a big snow storm on New Years Eve. So the world is blanketed in deep white snow :) I like the view from inside the house. Aaron just called and informed me that it is 1 degree outside. Yikes! The boys will not be playing outside today.
This week is special for us because two celebrities are visiting...Uncle Jared and Aunt Michelle are back for Christmas! WooHoo! We will celebrate Christmas with Aaron's family on Sat. It will be the first time in about 9 months that everyone has been together :)
Here are some pictures of out Christmas and New Years.
Elliana loves to stand up and hold on to things. I think she will walk before she crawls. The picture below is her being goofy :)

Elliana definitely loved the wrapping paper at Christmas!
Papa playing tractors with the boys on New Years day.
Joshua liked the presents he got for Christmas...
Asher loves his Diego megablocks :)
