1. At dinner the waitress commented that we were so cute sitting on the same side of the booth. I told her it was our 11 year wedding anniversary. She was shocked. Apparently Aaron and I look like college students. We then told her how old we were and how many children we had. That was hilarious.
2. We went for ice cream in a somewhat bad part of town (the ice cream was amazing!). While we were enjoying our dessert we sat on a bench outside overlooking a run down building. Aaron then starts reminiscing about our dates in high school when we would go and sit by the river. He laughed and said; “well this isn’t the river” (the run down building was not quite as pretty).
However, I did tell him that I thought tonight was more romantic because we appreciate the time alone so much more. Sitting anywhere with him without children hanging all over us, is very romantic.
I am very blessed to be married to such a wonderful man. I have known him for 17 years (more than half my life) and I love him with all my heart.

Joshua took a few seconds to take his picture (just enough time for Elliana and Asher to crash our anniversary picture, what life is really like at 11 years-kids all over us and we love it!).
