Homeschooling is a sacrifice

I gave up a job that I loved to stay home and be a mom and teacher. At times it feels as if I gave up a job that I was good at for one that I am on most days sub par.

But those feelings only come around every so often. And I know in my heart that I am doing the best job that I can and my children are blessed by all the work that I do in caring and educating them.

On those days when the laundry and dishes are piled sky high, the list of chores is a mile long, and the kids have decided to mutiny, I look for encouragement. This encouragement can come from other homeschooling moms, my supportive husband, or even a smile from my children.

Recently I discovered a few interviews on Family Talk with Dr. Dobson that discussed homeschooling. Just the encouragement I needed to get my head on straight and get back in the game. Here is the link to Family Talk. Look under the months of September (there are two) and November (there is one).
