They will timidly take their places among books..

The curriculum has been chosen. The stickers purchased. School supplies put in their proper places. Homework sheets have been printed. Goals have been set. Prayers have been said. The class list has been studied :) Each child's strengths and weaknesses assessed. As a result, individualized starting places have been made for each child. They will start where they are now and end at their own finish line. They will open their books as one child and close them in May as someone else. I am amazed, excited, and enthusiastic to see who they will be in nine months. What will they have learned? Will they speak and act differently? It seems one year in child years is like ten in adult years.

My hopes and dreams for the coming school year are many. But in the end, only one truly matters. That they meet Jesus every single day. I don't want one day to go by that they didn't feel His presence in our school room. Because I know that if they draw near to Jesus the rest will fall into place.

...and another journey begins...
