Elliana and I have been reading Milly Molly Mandy. It is a great book for her age group (3-4 year olds). I love the simple stories and repeated phrases. Elliana is able to answer comprehension questions after each story. She knows all about Milly Molly Mandy's family, her white cottage with the thatched roof, and "little friend Susan".
Joshua and I have been enjoying Moccasin Trail. It is definitely a boy book. I must admit my stomach turned when I read about two of the characters eating raw meat. But Joshua just thought that was cool (must be a boy thing!).
We start each school day by doing a little devotion from the book entitled Sticky Situations. We read a short description of a "sticky situation" and then talk about what the boys would do in that predicament. After talking about their choices we read a bible verse pertaining to the situation. It is really neat and gets the boys talking!
