Pretzel Toffee
Broken pretzels (not crushed)
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar (I used light, but dark would be even better)
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Put pretzels in a Ziploc type bag, seal the top, and use a rolling pin to gently break apart the pretzels.
- Spread pretzels on the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Enough to cover the bottom and a little more on top of that layer.
- Combine sugar and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for about 3 minutes.
- Immediately pour over pretzels.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips (spread the chocolate once it starts to melt).
