Different Planets

I always think it's funny when people discover my hobby and then look at me like I'm crazy.  But when I see their response, I look at them like their crazy.  I just can't understand why they don't get it.   So we stand there looking at each other like we're from different planets.

I loved watching this training video of an Olympic athlete.  Finally someone gets it!  I would love to live a day in his life, just for fun (not that I could keep up with him, he is crazy fast!!).  Notice how his kids are with him throughout the day.  What a great example to his children of hard work, dedication, and healthy living.  They get to watch from start to finish all the trials and joys of preparing for the Olympics!

Amy—I've been planning to e-mail you this message, but your post today is the PERFECT intro!

I've found your people! They live in Boulder, Colorado. Mike and I went for 3 weeks so he could train w/his coach and his group of elite athletes. It was perfectly normal to run for hours every day, bike all over, do core workouts, and get all sorts of therapy. I felt like the odd one out w/my paltry 25 miles a week. You would have loved it! Mike was ecstatic.

So you are really from Planet Boulder. :)

That sounds awesome! Especially the therapy part :) I enjoyed seeing your coffee posts. How do they make those cool designs ??

My coffee fest was delicious! So many little cafes. The baristas pour the steamed milk into the coffee a certain way and the milk creates a design. So pretty! And tasty.
