Recovery!!

I am finally able to be up and about most of the time.  I no longer need to rest between activities.  However, I am far from fully recovered.  My left leg is still partially numb and the part that isn't is painful to touch.  And at times I feel as if I am dragging my left leg.  All of these problems are the result of nerve issues.  When the swelling goes down and the herniated disk lets up it should all return to normal.

I attempted swimming earlier in the week.  It felt great but completely wore me out.  The following day I just wanted to sleep, all day long.  Not really possible when you have three kids to care for and educate :)

This morning I put in my Bob Harper yoga DVD.  After two weeks of laying around I was feeling really tight.  I know my body pretty well and I will not be able to get back to my pre-craziness state without first getting my muscles stretched out.  My review after just one hour- OH...MY... I LOVE YOGA!!!!  I feel so much better.  My left leg hurts less and I don't feel like it's dragging as much as it was before I stretched.  I foresee many yoga session in my near future :)

I would love to be back to where I was before all this happened, but I am excited to see my progress so far :)  Baby steps will get me to my destination!!!
