New Favorite Taco Recipe

I made chicken tacos tonight and they were A-MA-ZING! The above picture was not of my tacos; we ate them too quickly to stop and get a picture (yes they are that good). So I found one on Google that looked the same as ours; and lets be honest, it was taken by an expert and looks so pretty :)

Now for the yummy recipe, that is also the easiest thing ever.

Chicken
Ingredients
-One cup of chicken broth (1 teaspoon chicken bullion in 1 cup warm water)
-5 chicken breasts (trim off any fat)
-Taco seasoning (I make my own)

  1. Put the chicken in the crock pot.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth.
  3. Sprinkle taco seasoning on chicken.
  4. Let it cook for about 5 hours.
  5. Chicken will be super tender and shred easily. I shredded mine using two forks about an hour before we ate.

The key to this being an amazing taco are the corn tortillas! Heat 2 to 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet. When the oil is really hot drop in a tortilla. Cook about 30 seconds on each side (they will get a little brown). Place the tortilla on a paper towel to collect any extra oil.

I know I have made something really good when Aaron takes one bight and says "Oh, Amy...(he says this with his eyes closed!)." ENJOY!!!

I've used this one for years-

1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

I found it on allrecipes.com
