In the past our homeschool name has been "The Nelson School for Boys". But on April 6th of this year our name was changed to...The Nelson School for Gifted Youngsters (if you don't get it go watch the movie X-Men)
It will be a very fun and interesting week :)
Joshua is learning the books of the Old Testament in bible. He is also working on adding two digit numbers and fractions in math. In language arts he is reviewing pronouns and attributions and also writing a short story. He will be learning about Egypt in history as well. We will also be learning about the Gusilay people of Senegal (every week we learn about a group of people who do not have the bible in their language). In addition both boys will be working on Spanish. After we master the words we are working on they will know 82 words! I am so proud of them :)
Asher will be enjoying quite a bit of children's literature this week. We will be reading Hansel & Gretel, Humpty Dumpty and the Tortoise and the Hare. And we will read one of my favorite stories...Harry the Dirty Dog :) In science he will be studying "Whats Under the Sea". He is also learning how to write his name.
I will add pictures later. My darling daughter has just woken up and needs me :)
