If God made blueberry muffins..they would be this good!!!

These are the BEST blueberry muffins in the world! If you don’t believe me you will have to make them and find out for yourself. Now I need to go so I can hide them from everyone else in the house..

Nutmeg Blueberry Muffins

Ingredients:
½ Cup butter 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon sugar, divided
2 eggs
½ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups fresh or frozen unsweetened blueberries
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy.

  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  • Stir in milk and vanilla.

  • Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture just until moistened.

  • Fold in blueberries

  • Fill paper-lined muffin cups three-fourths full.

  • Combine nutmeg and remaining sugar; sprinkle over the top.

  • Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool for 5 minutes before moving from pan to a wire rack. Serve warm.
Yield- 1 dozen.

(if using frozen blueberries, do not thaw them before adding to the batter)

A disclaimer-Before I get emails on the title of this post let me just say that I know that if God made a blueberry muffin it would be way better than anything we can imagine. Think about this...He alone made the ingredients for the muffins :) Another reason to praise the Lord! (seriously, they are extremely yummy muffins!).
