Ramble from the Nelson household....

Summer is so busy for our family. The boys have baseball two days a week, the library reading program activities, swimming lessons and day camp (for Joshua). We are always on our way somewhere. Although it can be exhausting, it is a lot of fun. Aaron and I enjoy seeing the boys so active. And the boys love keeping busy.

I am in the process of organizing school for the fall. Joshua will be entering 2nd grade and Asher will be kindergartner. I have spent many hours pouring over curriculum and doing research to find the best fit for each of the boys. Last week three big boxes of school materials arrived. Since their arrival I have been busy organizing and preparing to put on the teacher hat.

For my homeschooling buddies that are interested in what we will be using this year, I will break it down by child.

-Joshua- Sonlight Core 2, Saxon math, Sequential Spelling, paragraph editing, language and grammar, math warm ups, Spanish, Wordly wise 3000, A Reason for Handwriting, Piano

-Asher- My Fathers World Kindergarten, Explode the Code (Ready, Set, Go for the code), Spanish

Add a 1 ½ year old to the mix and it is going to be a busy year!!

I recently read a great homeschooling article on Your Sacred Calling, check it out :)

A little triathlon update for ya- Aaron and I agree that I am capable of completing the triathlon next month. However, I just don’t feel the need to compete right now. So I am going to wait until next summer to jump into this new sport. So my next tri-update will be next July!

Here are some cute pictures of the kids… (I know you all need your cute fix for the day!)

Elliana's hair is now long enough for hair ties :) This is a picture of my beauty with her hair all done up :)
